Description
The 2026 Yamaha YZ125 delivers unfiltered motocross adrenaline with its liquid-cooled, reed-valve inducted 125 cc two-stroke engine crowned by Yamaha’s YPVS® (Yamaha Power Valve System) technology. Bore and stroke measure 54.0 × 54.5 mm, and the 6-speed gearbox ensures you stay in the powerband when it counts. What this means in real-world terms: razor-sharp response, addictive high-rpm build-up and that distinct blur of rotation that only a two-stroke can deliver. Engine mapping and big-bore thrills combine for performance that rewards aggression and skill alike.
Chassis and suspension are crafted for real competition. The aluminium frame provides crisp handling, while KYB® Speed-Sensitive System (SSS) inverted front fork with 11.8″ travel and a KYB rear shock with 12.4″ travel soak up hard landings, rough landing faces and full-speed berms. The slim bodywork, narrow fuel tank and flat seat enable rider movement and control — essential when you’re sliding feet out and planting elbows in.
At ~212 lb (≈96 kg) wet weight, the YZ125 keeps everything light and flickable for riders who demand nimble agility and race-style performance. With 270 mm front and 240 mm rear hydraulic disc brakes, control and stopping power match the chassis and engine energy.
If you live for hot laps, chasing ruts, diving in the trenches and sprinting to the finish gate — the YZ125 is the unapologetic statement that two-stroke culture still dominates. It’s not about subtlety; it’s about speed, control and legacy.
