The 250cc Trail and Enduro Virtuoso.

The Yamaha WR250F is a finely tuned, rider-first enduro machine built to outperform in technical terrain, open fire-roads or mixed dirt-and-street scenarios.

Description

The Yamaha WR250F is a finely tuned, rider-first enduro machine built to outperform in technical terrain, open fire-roads or mixed dirt-and-street scenarios. Power comes from a 250 cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke single derived from the championship-bred YZ250F engine, delivering a perfect balance of strong low-rpm torque for tricky sections and explosive mid-to-top-end power when you open it up.

Underneath, Yamaha’s lightweight aluminium bilateral-beam frame is tuned for agility and stability, with a low-centre-of-gravity design that lets you flick through tight turns with confidence. The sleek bodywork, narrow tank and flat seat further reduce bulk and fatigue when things get rough. Suspension duties are handled by KYB units with long travel — 300 mm front forks and 306 mm rear travel in many markets — giving the WR250F serious capability over roots, rocks and ruts. Fully adjustable for compression and rebound, the set-up means you’re ready for anything from trail rides to competition.

The WR250F also delivers modern feature depth beyond raw hardware: an ECU lock function, selectable engine maps, smartphone tuning via Yamaha’s Power Tuner App, traction control levels and road-legal ADR compliance in Australia (mirrors, indicators, horn included) make this 250cc machine one of the most versatile enduro bikes you’ll find.  With a wet weight around 113 kg and a seat height of approximately 955 mm, it’s engineered to balance race-capability with day-to-day rider usability.

Whether you’re navigating tight single-track, blasting open expanses or just wanting a do-everything off-road machine with serious injection of fun, the WR250F is built to answer the call. It’s not just an enduro bike — it’s your ticket to exploring with confidence, control and adrenaline.
